Pizzaca | Scarborough

There are so many hidden gems hidden in Perth when it comes to little cafes.

Last Sunday we decided to go out for breakfast and didn’t want to go too far away. We were on route to Scarborough when we spotted the Pizzaca.

It is a small cafe hidden on a side street and accommodates about 30 customers, take away is available also. The seats are mainly outdoors were a few tables and window seats available inside the cafe. The cafe has a 90% rating on UrbanSpoon.

The menu was fantastic…there were so many things to choose from, and on looking around at what others were eating…I couldn’t make up my mind!

Finally, we ordered the Chilli Beans and the Jumbo White Sandwich, and an English Breakfast Tea and a Latte to drink.

Drinks were served the the food came shortly after! The Chilli Beans were chilli beans on toast, with chorizo muddled through, Danish feta scattered across the top and topped with two fried eggs. This dish was scoffed down in minutes…I’m not even exaggerating! Thankfully, I did get to taste it before it was gobbled up and thought I would have been very happy had that been my choice.
I went for the Jumbo White Sandwich (very plain, I know!) because you really cannot beat a good sambo on a Sunday morning. The bacon was well stacked between the slices of bread, two eggs and held together with a knife…that also went down a treat but it took a few minutes more to scoff!

I would definitely go back to the Pizzaca for breakfast or brunch, maybe next time I will be a little more adventurous with my meal choice!

The Pizzaca also had a fantastic choice of cakes available..on arrival I considered skipping breakfast! Unfortunately, on finishing my breakfast, I didn’t have much room left for dessert….next time!
My second visit was a little more adventurous when it came to choosing so I went with a Taste Platter and washed it down with a Berry Smoothie.
The taste platter was full of small pieces of heaven. As you can see, there were pancakes drizzled in honey, potato fritter, salmon eggs benedict, muesli with yoghurt and fruit and finished with a stack of bacon. Every little piece melted in my mouth and each piece as delicious as the one before it.

My Rating: ♥♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
