The Local Shack is perfectly situated on Scarborough beach front. There is outdoor and indoor seating available and most tables have a game of some sort to entertain you.
There is a new menu to entice customers old and new to The Local Shack. It is definitely a huge improvement on the previous menu and the prices are extremely reasonable.
You can find The Local Shack in the city and a new outlet in Joondalup.
We were here for breakfast on a quiet Friday morning. On first glance at the menu, I wasn’t sure what to order, there were quite a few great choices.
In the end, I decided to go for Wipeout ($18) and Mr. T decided on the Morning Session ($9.50).
We received two Flat Whites as we played our first game of Connect 4. We were playing best of 5, the loser paying for breakfast. I remained the champion..of course!
First to arrive was my dish. I wasn’t expecting the plate that was placed in front of me. I was excited to tuck in to each and every part of it.
The eggs were perfect and there was more than enough bacon on the dish. The bread was a little crunchy but I still ate two slices of it.
The beans were my favourite part of the dish! I devoured nearly every morsel on my plate.
Mr. T’s dish arrived and he was very impressed with it. What is also impressive, is the price. What a dish for $9.95 !
I tasted the pancakes. I didn’t like the BBQ sauce with the pancakes as I prefer my pancakes sweet but Mr. T enjoyed every piece.
I am delighted to say that I will be happy to visit again and would love to try out a few more things on the menu. Each item is cheaper than you might find it elsewhere.
Get down there for yourself and see what all the fuss it about.
