Floyd’s | Subiaco

I had time for a quick brunch for one in Floyd’s in Subiaco during the week.

On walking into this cafe, it didn’t take long to notice that this cafe definitely favours pink in colour! The decor, table settings and feature wallsย were all pink.

After a quick look over the menu, I went for something simple, Eggs On Toast with a side of Hash Browns ($16.50) as I’m always going for a bean dish or eggs benedict!

My coffee arrived first and I was very pleased with the warm and roasted flavour, so pleased that I got one to go also!

I’m not a coffee addict, I swear!

I am a huge fan of Hash Browns so I was delighted to see two on my plate, I couldn’t wait to tuck in!
The toasted bread was soft and crisp and made softer when I cut into the well poached egg as the yolk oozed out.
I guess I did go back to old habits a little as there were spicy beans on the plate but a only a small portion.

Even though this was a rather simple breakfast, I really enjoyed it!
Should I get the chance to return, I hope to try the Browned Autumn Spice Apple and Pear Frites ($15). I love the thoughts of apple and pear together and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is a winning combination.

Also featured in Subiaco are the best crumpets I have ever seen pass my table, Architects and Heroes.
