Mister Finch | Fremantle

Mister Finch is quite the quirkly little spot hidden in Fremantle. It is located close to the boardwalk area but not quite along the Cappuccino Strip. I would guess it might be by passed fairly often…what were you thinking!

We picked a table just outside and looked over the menu. The menu offered so many great choices as well as the daily specials, we took a little while to decide.
I decided on the fourth dish on the menu, Diced avocado w cherry tomatoes, danish feta & basil infused olive oil served with poached eggs on toast & salsa verde sauce ($17).  As I am not a fan of avocado, I swapped it out for a side of bacon which was happily provided.

Miss. D and Miss. De decided on the same dish, the Moroccan Style Scrambled Eggs ($19). They were after a little heat in their breakfast so this sounded like the perfect dish!

As always, we ordered our Lattes ($4) and an English Breakfast Tea ($4). I must say, the coffee was fabulous!

First to arrive was my dish…yippee!
The dish was visually appealing and I particularly loved the salsa verde drizzled over the top of the poached eggs.
I couldn’t fault this dish.. the toasted ciabatta was fresh and crunchy and there was a generous amount of feta cheese across each piece. I’m rather fussy about my eggs and Mister Finch passed the test and put two perfectly poached eggs on my plate. The soft cherry tomatoes were a nice touch and bacon goes with everything.
I would definitely order this dish again.

Ms. D and Ms. De’s dishes arrived together time as they were the same.
Both ladies were satisfied with their dish. I was glad I got to taste the dish also. There was a hint of heat a few seconds after finishing each bite and that’s exactly what Miss. D and Miss. De were looking for. Not only did the dish look warm and appealing, it brought heat and flavour.
The pumpkin and capsicum added more texture to the dish, but more importantly, flavour and colour!
The onion jam was also scrumptious,of course, both ladies would have loved a little more but that is a personal preference rather than criticism.

Mister Finch is also featured in the Entertainment Book and certainly should not be by passed.

If you are in Fremantle, another place I would recommend is Bib and Tucker.
