The Old Swan Brewery has undergone some changes recently and a select few foodies were invited in for a sneak peak at the venue and the menu.
I have walked past the Swan Brewery on many occasions and always though it was a little fancy for me and frequently used for weddings and other events. I was wrong! This hip venue is now branching out to lure a different kind of customer… the average customer like me! For those of you who are already frequent customers, do not worry, there is still great steak on the menu and we were assured that the beer is served in pints, should you choose one!
The longer I spent at the venue, the more I saw myself sitting out the front sharing a nice bottle of wine to share with friends on a weekend afternoon. I look forward to adding Riverside Brewhouse to my summer list!
Luckily for us, we got to taste all of the beers on tap and the bar tender was very knowledgeable about the beers, brewing and what they would compliment on the menu. The Common Ale is the newest addition to the drinks list and I quite liked it. Personally, I am a fan of the lighter coloured beers so I was pleasantly surprised. We also met Mark, the guy with the cool job of looking after the micro brewery. He appeared so passionate about brewing beer and I am sure the future beers will be amazing.
Let’s get to my favourite part…the food! The Riverside Brewhouse has an amazing menu, ideal for sharing while sampling the latest brew from the bar but there are still options to order your own main course.
The menu is extremely diverse with options for every kind of diner. Personally, I love share food and the menu had many great options. Of all the dishes sampled, my top three dishes were the BBQ Pork Ribs, Jamon and Manchego Croquettes and the Hot & Sour Chicken Wings.

With so many choices on the menu, it was difficult to choose favourites. I feel like I got to taste everything on the menu but it will be up to you, my fabulous readers, to choose your favourite!
Soft Tacos-Chicken
RBH Cheese and Pickle Burger-These are a smaller version of the burger served if you order from the menu. The stamp looks amazing on the bigger burgers!
