Can you honestly think of a better way to spend a lead Saturday afternoon than having pancakes and a mimosa? That’s exactly what I did with a foodie friend recently.
On such a beautiful Saturday afternoon we are opted to sit outside and make the most of the sunshine. It didn’t take much convincing to order a mimosa as it was conveniently the same price as a smoothie.
I was dining with my fellow foodie friend, unbeleafablefood, who is vegan and we thought the menu was great as we browsed it. As it was a late Saturday afternoon, I decided to order a sweet option from the menu, Blossom Hotcakes ($19) and my foodie friend went for the vegan option, Avo and Feta Smash ($18).
Sitting in the sun, we chatted as our mimosas arrived! Shortly after, our food arrived and I was pretty impressed with my hotcakes. I really enjoyed how fluffy they were and every topping made sense and worked well. The dark chocolate meringue was interesting, I had never tasted a flavoured meringue and it was subtly delicious. I struggled to finish this dish as it was quite filling.

As you can see, the Avo Smash was equally tasty. This was devoured by a huge mushroom fan but I’ll let you go check out her feed to see more about that, unbeleafablefood

Thanks for a lovely afternoon brunch!
