Three Bags Full | Abbotsford

This little gem of a place is very close to where I live, luckily for me. Mr B and I went for our usual Sunday brunch and this was his choice.

When we arrived the cafe was rather busy but we were able to take a window seat within a few minutes. We had a look around at what other people were ordering to try and help us decide what we wanted to choose from the wide range of options on the menu.

I was thinking of something along my usual order which is an eggs Benedict and after seeing one go by I had made my decision. Mr B was a little bit more torn in his choices after seeing a colourful salad go by.

In the end, I went for the Eggs In Hell ($19.50) and Mr. B went for the Three Bags Benedict ($19.50).

Just look at this breakfast! I wish I had ordered it when it arrived to the table.  I think the bright green sauce hiding the poached eggs was the most eye catching thing ever! The potato cake was rather large and made the dish very filling. You cannot go wrong with ham hock in my opinion and there was plenty of it on this dish. This dish was divine, it will be exactly what I am ordering next time I visit.

My dish was tasty but not as visually appealing when it was sat beside the Benedict. In saying that, it matched up in regards to portion size, balance and the flavours of the dish. The spicy chorizo raga tasted fresh and I imagined a huge pot of it bubbling away in the kitchen. There was a sizable portion of polenta and I couldn’t get enough of it. I would absolutely order it again!

Without a doubt, we will be back. Folks, if there is a queue when you arrive, wait! It is certainly worth it!

My Rating: 5.0 This breakfast was flawless!
