I have visited Stimulatte on a previous occasion but it has been quite some time since I’ve returned. I work in Subiaco so have often popped into Stimulatte for a coffee but never had time for breakfast, until now!
I found myself on a quiet morning having time to catch up with Ms G for breakfast and suggested Stimulatte so that I could get back to work straight after brekkie.
I arrived first and had a browse through the menu. I loved the sound of Pulled Pork Benedict and the Hotcakes.
I decided to go for the Pulled Pork Benedict ($18) in the end. Ms G was up in a heap about ordering so went with the same dish. As you know I love my coffee, and ordered a Long Black to accompany my breakfast. Ms G she has not jumped on the coffee bandwagon and was happy with water.
As we chatted and caught up on our latest news my coffee arrived. I’m already a fan of the coffee a Stimulatte I so knew it would be great. The blend is strong but the takeaway size is much bigger than this small cup.
Our dishes arrived at the same time and looked great. There was quite the mountain of juicy pulled pork on the dish but it was a little dry. There were two nicely toasted pieces of bread. The eggs were perfectly poached and one egg was trying to escape off my plate. I love my eggs too much to let this happen! There was a light drizzle of sauce over the top of the dish and it would have been perfect if there was just a little more. The apple added some bitterness to the dish and definitely compliments pulled pork.
Overall, we both enjoyed the dish.
With Stimulatte being so close to my work place, I’ll definitely be back for coffee again. Also in the area, you might want to check out Floyds on Rockeby Road or Tracks in West Leederville.
