Event: Pink. The Restaurant

When I received an invitation to dine at a restaurant called Pink, I started to form an opinion immediately! It’s certainly not my favourite colour so I had my reservations before even going to the restaurant, and I shouldn’t have!

This hidden restaurant is located above Rozzi’s Pizza Store at 157 Swanston Street and as soon as you reach the steps, you know where you are going! While it is literally head to toe in pink, you can’t help but smile, even if it’s not your favourite colour.

We spoke to Darren about his reason for choosing pink and I was pleasantly surprised by the research completed and the thought that went into it. For Darren, pink says, self-love, happiness and sharing that with the people you love and care about. He even mentioned that physiatric wards are often painted pink to encourage calmness and love amongst other things.

While the venue interior has a little something unique about it, just as much thought and effort has gone into the healthy Italian menu and great cocktails offered at Pink. The Restaurant.

Our favourites of the night were the Garden of Vegan pizza, yes, it was vegan! I honestly don’t think I would have known any different if I never saw the menu. It was a favourite for a few diners as far as I’m aware and yes, it had a pink base.

The Rainbow Superfood Salad was fresh and very colourful!

Of all the art work pieces in the ‘Selfie Studio’ on the second floor, this is the most important one to check out! Even though I had to stand on tip toe to reach the ideal position, I still thought it was a cool shot.

For every selfie taken & tagged @liptember on Instagram at this spot, Pink. The Restaurant will donate $2 to Liptember as part of an official partnership to support women’s mental health. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #frompinktoyou

Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Pink. The Restaurant for looking after us. Best of luck with the official opening tomorrow (Thursday 13th of June 2019). Pink. The Restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Sunday from 12 noon until late.

I cannot wait to revisit in the future!
